Urban mobility has undergone asignificant push toward the use of soft mobility or micro-mobility transport modes. Thisoperational scenario requires the development of new methodologies for assessing urban safety,especially with regard to vulnerable users. Activities will include: 1) the development andcalibration of new predictive models of pedestrian crowding in urban areas based on GIS-typearchitectures and employing hybrid natural configurational approaches; 2) the development ofmicro-mobility severity assessment functions; and 3) in-depth study of the design of vertical trafficcalming devices
