Sviluppo e studio meccanicistico di metodologie catalitiche stereoselettive per trasformazioni radicaliche

The research will focus on developing new stereoselective methodologies for radical transformations, combining synthetic organic chemistry, transition-metal catalysis and visible-light photochemistry. Activities will include the design and optimization of catalytic reactions, investigation of substrate scope, synthesis and characterization of organic compounds, and mechanistic studies aimed at understanding radical reactivity and stereocontrol. The resulting catalytic concepts will contribute to the development of innovative catalytic systems within the ERC PHOTOZYME project, including their potential application to light-driven enzymatic transformations.
