Analysis of physical and biogeochemical data collected using autonomous observing platforms and oceanographic ship-based surveys to investigate deep-ocean dynamics and their interactions with biogeochemical processes

The successful candidate will analyse and integrate physical and biogeochemical datasets collected from autonomous observing platforms (Argo and Deep Argo floats, gliders, and moorings), hydrographic data acquired during oceanographic cruises, and historical datasets available for the study area. The research will focus on characterizing thedeep circulation, mesoscale and submesoscale dynamics, and turbulent mixing processes, aswell as their interactions with biogeochemical variability. The position will also provide theopportunity to participate in the project's oceanographic cruises, contributing to the acquisition,processing, quality control, and scientific interpretation of observational data.
