Acquisition, processing, and interpretation of marine geophysical data and geodatabase development for CARG Geological Map Sheet No. 627 Selinunte

the work will focus on the development of the marine sector of CARG. The selected candidate will be involved in shipboard acquisition activities, as well as in the processing and interpretation of marine geophysical data aimed at the lithological, stratigraphic, structural and geomorphological characterization of the study area.The activities will also include the analysis of stratigraphic information derived from available boreholes in the study area, which will be used to identify geological formations and marker horizons within the seismic data, thereby contributing to the reconstruction of the geological and structural framework of the investigated area. The candidate will also contribute to the production of thematic maps and interpretative schemes required for the definition of the geological model of the area and for the preparation of CARG Geological Map Sheet No. 627 “Selinunte”.
