Graphic representation strategies for the simultaneous and comparative analysis of architectural drawings in the S/D/R Archive of the Department of History, Drawing and Restoration of Architecture, Sapienza University of Rome
This research aligns with contemporary strategies for engaging with the Sapienza archives dedicated to architectural drawing education; it involves systematizing knowledge of Rome’s built heritage, selecting diverse datasets, and managing and standardizing the processes of data acquisition and archiving. The project aims to develop methods and tools for the multidimensional exploration, interpretation, and analysis of archival data. This will foster interactive, dynamic engagement with the drawings and encourage new lines of inquiry tailored to diverse audiences, thereby enhancing the tangible and intangible assets of the Roman School’s tradition. Original thematic narratives will be proposed to transform the archival platform into a critical research laboratory, refining query and consultation tools to improve content.
