Development of intelligent robotic strategies for assisted object grasping and manipulation

The selected researcher will contribute to the development of robotic strategies and policies for object grasping and manipulation, with particular emphasis on systems aimed at assisting users with motor disabilities and/or inexperienced teleoperators in the execution of complex tasks. The research activities will include the development and integration of robot control algorithms, RGB-D vision systems, force sensing and machine-learning methods for robotic grasping and manipulation. The developed solutions will be implemented and experimentally validated on collaborative robotic platforms equipped with grippers and/or artificial robotic hands. The ideal candidate has advanced knowledge of robotics and robot control, demonstrated through previous academic, research or professional experience.
