Development of innovative methodologies for coordinating robotic systems in collaboration with humans
The research project aims to develop novel methodologies for the coordination of collaborative robotic systems operating in shared environments with human operators. The research will focus on the definition of models and algorithms for planning, control, and dynamic task allocation, integrating information about operators’ capabilities and states, safety constraints, and operating conditions. The coordination strategies will be adaptive, enabling autonomous adjustment of task assignments and robot behaviors according to the evolution of the scenario and the interaction with human operators. The proposed methodologies will be implemented within ROS/ROS2 middleware and validated through simulations and experiments on robotic platforms, considering representative human–robot collaboration scenarios.
